My Story: Re-"Tired" After 7 Years!

Hello, my name is Tim Heeter. I am the creator of TheyLearnYouEarn.com & yes it does sound like an AA meeting!, but it's not.

I am a re-"tired" teacher ,the "job" of teaching drained me, both mentally & physically!.

For seven years I taught middle school and high school science and maths. I taught in public and private schools in Washington, Montana, Iowa, Minnesota, Idaho, and Hawaii.

Good students. Good families. Good schools!.

Sadly, it took a long time to realize the part of teaching that I really loved and how important it was to really pursue it.

I loved tutoring. But the opportunity got lost in all the other "stuff" the job entails.

Kneeling down beside a student and helping them with a tough question is what energized me; it gave me energy to make it through the day.

Perhaps you know the feeling!

Honestly, I discovered the opportunity and joys
of tutoring by accident.

I had helped a student in one of my science classes with a few math problems a few days after school. He did so well on his next quiz that a few days later his mom approached me and offered to pay me to tutor him in math three days a week.

And I would have gladly done it for free!

Nonetheless, I was thrilled to make some extra money on the side. If you read the numbers at the top of the page, you can see how that one student quickly turned into five.

And those 5 students have turned into 5 years of tutoring and teaching ups and downs, where I have learned to both focus on my passion of helping students learn and maximize the profitability of my business.

Now I am no longer re-"tired".

I am re-"energized" by each new student I help and the financial success of my business (which in turn helps me to help even more students!).

Now I get to tutor the tutors!

I have the best job ever! I get to help other tutors conquer the same fears and struggles I had when starting my own tutoring services.
