What is Clickbank?

The Clickbank affiliate program gives web masters the opportunity to offer e-books and other downloadable products for sale, and to earn a commission on each sale, sometimes as much as 75%.

They act as the middleman between the authors and the sellers. They ensure that the money earned is actually paid to those people who have earned it.

The Clickbank site promotes the products for sale, and brings both parties together where they can find each other easily. They offer real-time sales reporting so that you know how much you have earned. Then, if there is enough in your account, they will pay you, either by check or direct deposit into your bank account, twice a month.

Promoting other people's products

There are thousands of products on offer in the Clickbank Marketplace. Some are better than others, of course, so it is worth while buying your own copy of any product that you hope to promote, first.

Not only will you discover if the content is informative and interesting, but you also then have extra knowledge of how the product could help the visitors to your site.

Ideally you shouldn't try to hard to SELL the product, that is the vender's job once you have directed your visitor to their sales page.

If you don't think your writing skills are up to the job (and you won't know if you don't try) you could consider hiring a ghostwriter to create one for you.

Once your book is written, you then set the price, and the amount that your affiliates will receive from each sale. You will need to create your own sales page and have it approved before you can start to earn with Clickbank in this situation. A virtual image of your book cover will also be necessary, but you can find companies who will help you design that, online.

You do have to pay a setup fee to list your book, (at the time of writing it is $49.95), but you have the potential to recoup that, and a lot more, if your material interests enough people.
