You will find survey companies out there that will pay in gift vouchers and even with tickets to prize draws! Don't go with these companies as you don't need to, there are enough legitimate survey companies.

What to avoid when looking to earn money taking online surveys

Don't give out your cell/mobile phone number as you could end up with hundreds of texts asking for you to claim prizes! If you do call, this will cost you, and there is little chance of you winning the grand prize.

Also don't give out your home number, as you could find yourself being charged for items that you were given free as a thank you for completing a survey!

The American Consumer Opinion pay you in points per survey, and when you have 1000 points you have earned $10. (You don't have to reside in the States to work with them, by the way.) Now you realise that this is not a get rich quick scheme!

You should find that trying to earn money taking online surveys is not that taxing on the brain, you can complete surveys while you are listening to music and watching your favorite program, so in that respect it is easy money!.

The down side is that it doesn't pay that well.

You will need to complete a substantial survey when you first register, so that they can match surveys with your profile. You don't get paid for this, and a number of people can be put off by the lengthly registration process.

If you are happy sitting in front of your computer ticking a few boxes, then this is for you. The money you earn will provide extra treats - dinner out, trips, new clothes, but if you are looking to pay off the mortgage then be prepared to be completing surveys 24 hours a day!
